Gardening Matters Announces Leadership Transition

A message from Gardening Matters Executive Director Kirsten Saylor:

It is such an exciting time for local foods, community gardens, and community sustainability and livability. I pinch myself as I look back over the last four years and see how far we've all come: from developing a sustainability plan for community gardens to building the networks and support needed for community gardens, and now, gardening in community (aka Local Food Resource Hubs!).

Gardening Matters has been your organization, working with you to build the capacity of community gardens, improve access to land, share resources, educate gardeners, promote supportive public policies, and build soil fertility through neighborhood composting.

It's been an honor to be a part of these changes, and now it is time to turn the helm to another. Gardening Matters will soon identify a new leader to put on the executive director hat, as I return to programming and communications roles within the organization.

Please help us find someone who can advance and enhance community gardening and gardening in community, and continue to develop the organization soundly, with shared leadership with gardeners around the metro area. Find the job announcement here
